Caregivers support group updates for 2021
For the remainder of 2021 we will meet on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month. These meetings are still taking place over Zoom, out of an abundance of caution, due to continued concerns about exposure to COVID-19.
Caregivers’ Coffee 2021 Meeting Dates:
- Oct 9, 23
- Nov 13, and JUST ADDED, NOV 20
- Dec 11 (only, due to Winter holidays)
Have you ever wanted to talk with another caregiver about how they cope with the tasks, worries, and routines of caring for a loved one with head and neck cancer?
Would you like a chance to share information and learn from others who are in your shoes?
The HNC Coffee with the Caregivers support group gives you the chance to listen and share.
In June of 2020 we started having our very own support group meetings to give us all just such a forum. We caregivers benefit from sharing with one another about our particular challenges and victories and are encouraged by simply listening to others who are going through the same things. Taking care of ourselves helps us take better care of our loved ones, and this support group is one way we can do that.
When is the Caregivers support group?
The meetings are held on Saturday mornings from 10-11:00, except for the first Saturday of each month, when the larger HNC Support Group meets.
So, bring your own coffee/tea/water mug to your desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone, and join us for all or even just part of the meeting!
Register for the meetings here. After you register, you will receive an email confirmation containing another link for you to use to join the meetings on Saturday mornings. Our next meeting is on Saturday, October 9th from 10-11:00 AM.
We hope to see you then! Keep in mind that contacting a caregiver in between meetings is always an option here.
Share us with your caregivers
If you are a survivor of, or currently going through treatment for, head and neck cancer (or a medical professional) we ask that you please pass this message along to anyone who has provided you (or your patient) with care and support during your healing process.
