Have you ever wanted to ask another caregiver a question about how they cope with the tasks, worries, and routines of caring for a loved one with head and neck cancer? Would you like a chance to share information and learn from others who are in your shoes?
Last Saturday we had the first meeting of our very own support group, which was recently formed to provide just such a forum. Caregivers can benefit from sharing their particular challenges and victories, or simply hearing from others who are going through the same things. Taking care of ourselves helps us better take care of our loved ones.
We will meet on a weekly basis on Saturdays from 10-11:00 am, except for the first Saturday of each month, when the larger HNC Support Group meets. These meetings are taking place over Zoom because of the ‘safer at home’ restrictions currently in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
