Priya’s Story
Priya joined our group when she was in high school, she had thyroid cancer. Here she is with Blair in a standing-room only audience filled Mayer Auditorium on April 1, as a head and neck cancer patience support group presented a variety show to raise awareness of head and neck cancer and raise funds for research and treatment. Members of the support group, which meets the first Saturday or every month at the USC Healthcare Consultation Center II, perform in a skit in the picture shown.
Priya is now halfway through a simultaneous MD/PhD program at UC San Diego on her way to becoming a medical doctor. Blair (who is retired), on the other hand, was halfway through his afternoon nap.
