Two Special Guest Speakers
Lynn Hasel - RYT500 & Certified Ayurveda Practitioner
Our February Meeting will feature Lynn Hasel – a breast cancer survivor, is a certified Ayurvedic Medicine Practitioner from the American University of Complementary Medicine. In addition, she is a registered yoga teacher having completed the requisite teacher training program and additional meditation and pranayama (breathing practice) training. Lynn has participated in several silence retreats and has years of experience in teaching yoga, meditation and breathing exercise
Special Guest Speaker: Dennis R. Maceri, MD.
A skilled and compassionate surgeon specializing in head, neck and endocrine surgery, with over four decades of experience. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). Dr. Maceri then pursued a career in medicine, eventually graduating from medical school at the University of California Irvine and completing residency training at UCLA in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Early in his career, Dr. Maceri joined the faculty at the University of Michigan, where he spent two years as an Assistant Professor. After moving to USC in 1984, he served as Division Head at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles from 1985 to 1993. Dr. Maceri’s current research interest is in thyroid cancer, specifically in the genetic changes responsible for tumor spread.
