Coffee with the Caregivers meets this Saturday
National Family Caregivers Month (NFCM) is celebrated every November. This is a time to honor, recognize, and celebrate family caregivers across the country. For us at HNC Support this month offers an opportunity to raise awareness, educate, and increase support for caregivers. Caregivers of those with head and neck cancer specifically.
Earlier this month at our monthly support group, we honored caregivers and we look forward to seeing all caregivers at the virtual Coffee with the Caregivers support group this Saturday the 13th. Learn more about this support group specifically for caregivers and register to join us.
How Coffee with the Caregivers got started
Have you ever wanted to ask another caregiver a question about how they cope with the tasks, worries, and routines of caring for a loved one with head and neck cancer? Would you like a chance to share information and learn from others who are in your shoes?
Join our special support group which was formed to provide such a forum.
In June of 2020 we started having our very own support group meetings to give us all just such a forum. We caregivers benefit from sharing with one another about our particular challenges and victories, and are encouraged by simply listening to others who are going through the same things. Taking care of ourselves helps us take better care of our loved ones, and this is one way we can do that.
The weekly meetings are held on Saturdays from 10-11:00 am, except for the first Saturday of each month, when the larger HNC Support Group meets.
COVID-19 Precautions
We continue to take the necessary precautions during this difficult time and all of our meetings are held virtually through zoom. Register and use the link in the email confirmation you receive to join the group on Saturday morning.
If you are a survivor of, or currently going through treatment for, head and neck cancer, please pass this message along to the person (or persons) providing you with care and support during your healing process. Thank you!
