~ Hello! If you are a survivor of, or currently going through treatment for, head and neck cancer, please pass this message along to the person (or persons) providing you with care and support during your healing process. Thank you!
Have you ever wanted to ask another caregiver a question about how they cope with the tasks, worries, and routines of caring for a loved one with head and neck cancer? Would you like a chance to share information and learn from others who are in your shoes?
We have just started having our very own support group meetings, to provide just such a forum. Caregivers can benefit from sharing their particular challenges and victories, or simply hearing from others who are going through the same things. Taking care of ourselves helps us better take care of our loved ones.
The meetings are held on a weekly basis on Saturdays from 10-11:00 am, except for the first Saturday of each month, when the larger HNC Support Group meets. These meetings are taking place over Zoom because of the ‘safer at home’ restrictions currently in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Bring your own coffee/tea/water mug!
We hope to see you then! Keep in mind that contacting a caregiver in between meetings is always an option here.
Take good care in the meantime.
The Caregiver Committee: Margaret Tusan, Ida Porter and Frances Fitzgerald
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
